ClearLink Wireless Solutions, LLC, based in Milford, Michigan, is a tier 1 telecom contractor with nearly 20 years in the wireless industry that designs, builds, maintains, and oversees telecom projects, including cell towers, DAS systems and small cell systems, throughout Michigan and the Great Lakes region. We are looking to hire a full-time Tower Technician to help our teams install, upgrade, and maintain cell tower wireless systems and equipment throughout Michigan and surrounding areas. DUTIES:

  • Site construction, planning, and organizing.
  • Work with project supervisors, building management, city officials, and property owners.
  • Work in the field alongside carrier techs, managers, and customers.
  • Commission various equipment and radios.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve RF, fiber, and integration issues.
  • Analyze and record test results and prepare customer turnover reports.
  • Manage company issued tools and equipment.
  • Manage stock and supply inventory.
  • Responsible for safety and quality assurance.
  • Submit close out documents and reports.
  • Periodic travel required.

 

APPLICANTS MUST HAVE:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in wireless telecommunications.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs.
  • Ability to climb significant heights and work at high elevations.
  • The basic use of hand tools, electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Experience with industry testing equipment preferred.
  • PIM Trained and Certified preferred.
  • Sweep Testing and Troubleshooting preferred.
  • Fiber Optics Testing and Troubleshooting (OTDR, OPM, Splicing) preferred.
  • Basic understanding of RF Frequencies and Wavelengths preferred.
  • Ability to install coax connectors properly preferred.
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately and complete assigned course of action, including designs and drawings.
  • Climbing/rescue training and basic first aid training.
  • Analyzing situations accurately and adopting an appropriate course of action.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Following instructions accurately and completing assigned course of action.
  • Basic computer skills (E-mail, Word, Excel, accessing information on the internet, etc.).
  • Recognizing safety hazards and performing duties in a safe manner.
  • Pass pre-employment drug screen.
  • Possess a valid driver license and pass a background check.
